Vatsala Ratnasabapathy, senior partner in our Dispute Resolution practice, will be part of the faculty speaking at the Medical Expert Witness Training Workshop on 30 August 2025 (Saturday). The workshop is part of the 7th Annual Scientific Meeting 2025, hosted by the Federation of Private Medical Practitioners’ Associations, Malaysia (FPMPAM), the national body representing doctors in private practice.

With 29 years of experience in dispute resolution, she will present a session titled “Expectation of a Witness from the Bench”, offering a practical overview of the law of evidence, specifically tailored for medical expert witnesses. She will also provide key tips on delivering persuasive expert testimony in court and arbitrations.

The workshop will feature four other sessions, with faculty providing insight into the role of expert witnesses, guidance on drafting effective expert witness reports, and the evolving impact of AI on expert testimony. Interactive discussions and practical training presentations will round out the day.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from leading medical experts and legal practitioners, such as Kamraj Nayagam, Milton Lum Siew Wah, Lim Kuan Joo and Steven K W Chow.

The event will run from 8.30 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Bangsar.
